Kosas Skin Tint Review: Is it really that good?
I know what you’re thinking…oil and foundation should not be two words that are used together. I thought the same thing at first too. My initial instinct was to run far away from it, to be honest, but I am so glad that I gave it a shot because it really is a unique item.
Let’s talk about Kosas before we talk about the product! Kosas to me is an innovative brand that has made some really creative and cool makeup products. There are a couple of their products that I have used that have been really cool (coming to a blog post and YouTube channel near you) and this skin tint was no exception. To me, Kosas has always been a brand that creates lightweight products that almost feel like they aren’t there. Which is something I really love and look for in products!
Now let’s dive into the product review!…WHAT IS SO GREAT ABOUT THIS OIL FOUNDATION?
Texture - It has a very lightweight texture. Although it is oil-based it doesn’t feel like you’re putting a thick oil on your face. It doesn’t feel too oily at all!
Great Color Range - Although it feels like there aren’t a lot of skin tones available in this range the color range they do have is great! I suggest going with your undertone in your color range (mine is neutral and medium.) There are 16 shades that can be worn across 48 different skin tones which is really cool.
Coverage - This is a good medium coverage foundation. A few drops will do you and it layers up really nice and is a very concentrated formula! This is not for your more full coverage days however it was not made to be full coverage.
Plays well with others - This tint works really well with other products! The one type of product I would stay away from is anything with a gel base because it can cause the product to pill. However other than that it works really well!
Skin Type - This tint works really well with across all skin types which is really cool especially since it is an oil. Before you call me crazy, oil isn’t always bad and it is something people should be more open to trying because it can be a real positive for even the oiliest skin. It also works in all climates and times of the year.
How Skin Looks - This product wears amazingly well! Your skin looks flawless and smooth. Who doesn’t want that?!
WHAT IS NOT GREAT ABOUT THIS FOUNDATION?
The Fear Factor - People are afraid of oils so they steer clear! However, it really is an amazing product more people should try
Price - The price here is a little up there, it costs $42.
Doesn’t Work with Gel - Like mentioned above, this product does not sit well with gel-based creams and products. It tends to pill but works well with all other types of products and bases!
Are they Clean Beauty Code Approved?… Yes!! This product is amazing and def worth trying out a little tester if you are unsure.
