Life-Changing Clean Beauty Blushes You Need

Blush is a product that has really erupted in the last 9 months. It has always been something people have used, but recently you see it everywhere. The rosy cheeks and sun-kissed glow are literally everywhere I turn, and I am sure you feel the same way. There is something so appealing about a really rosy cheek; it is a very sophisticated and youthful look. I don’t know about you, but I have always had a fear of blush because it is so easy to look like a scary clown or an 80’s blush victim. Blush always intimidated me until a few years ago. Now blush is something that cannot be skipped! It adds a great pop of color to any makeup look and makes winter skin look more alive. Blush comes in a variety of formulas: powder, cream, gel, or liquid, and they all have their own pros and cons. Cream blush looks more natural on the skin and can fade fast unless it is applied with a powder underneath or on top. Liquid blush is pigmented as well as natural-looking and also should be applied with power for all-day wear. Gel blush gives a beautiful flush to the cheeks but is sheer and should be used without foundation because it doesn’t always play well with base products. Powder lasts longer on the cheeks and has stronger pigmentation but can fade unless applied with a cream or liquid underneath. It is hard to choose at times, so I am going to break four of the best clean beauty blushes out there!

Kosas Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo
Performance - The Kosas duo is a really incredible product because it is 2-in-1! Who doesn’t love a 2-in-1 product? Unless it is one of those 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner combos…those are a mess. This duo comes with a blush as well as a highlighter. They come in 4 shade profiles, and within a shade profile, they have a regular and high intensity. The high intensity version is more pigmented than the regular one. In total, there are 8 shades to choose from, and they are all so pretty. The texture of the product is more oil-based than other cream blushes, but it is not greasy or oily. The product has decent slip to it so, when it is applied, it is easy to spread out with your fingers. The best way to apply this blush is to add a little powder underneath (either a powder blush or setting powder), and it will make the blush last so much longer! This is such a great product, and if you are someone that likes a glowy look, then this is the product for you. The finish is very dewy and gives you a very youthful glow. This would be a great addition to your makeup collection!

Ilia Color Haze Multi-Use Pigment
Performance - This blush is really intriguing because of the applicator. You just squeeze out the product directly on your cheeks or on the back of your hand and then blend it out or apply it with a brush or sponge. This product has a great shade range, although I hope they expand it more. This is another 2-in1 product; it can be applied to the cheeks as well as the lips. Certain shades work better for the cheeks, but it is perfect for creating a monochromatic look. The texture of it is also fantastic and natural-looking. This blush turns mostly matte when it dries and is great because it lasts all day, especially if you wear powder underneath it or on top of it. This product is easy to blend out, which is ideal because it will not move the makeup underneath if you are wearing makeup. The size of the product is surprising because it seems small, but once I looked at it in comparison to other products, it was actually not that small. It was right in line with other products. This one is perfect if you are going to be out and about all day or wearing a mask. This is definitely one to consider when you’re looking to add a new blush to your makeup bag.
Price - These are $32, which is expensive (especially for the size) but the product is awesome!

Tower 28 Beach Please Cream Blush
Performance - The pigmentation of this blush is out of this world! These blushes are so pigmented but are easy to blend out, so if you apply too much, it is not a total messy disaster. The texture of this one is a little thicker than the other ones mentioned above, but it is just as easy to blend out. This formula does not need to be used with powder, but I always think adding a little bit of powder underneath is a good idea if you are wearing your blush all day. These blushes give a gorgeous beachy glow to the face and will make you look alive and dewy in the winter. The is a long-lasting blush that will make you look youthful and glowing all day. This blush also is another 2-in-1 product and can be applied to the lips, the shades are not as universal for the lips, but when sheered out, they create a really gorgeous lip stain look and monochromatic look.
Price - This is $20, which I think is an awesome price for a blush this pigmented!

Honest Beauty LIT Powder Blush
Performance - These blushes are so pretty and have a shimmery finish to them. The shade flirty is actually a dupe for Nars Orgasm. When worn side by side they, are so similar you cannot tell the difference! These blushes have a soft buttery feel to them, and because of that, they have a little bit of fall out, but it is not so much that it gets messy. The wear time of these blushes is pretty good, but they do fade throughout the day. The best way to avoid fading at the end of the day is to wear a primer underneath. These blushes are affordable and gorgeous; you really cannot go wrong with one of these.
